This capture interface can be used with 32-bit versions of Image-Pro Premier, Image-Pro Insight and Image-Pro Plus to communicate with devices driven by DirectShow. This version is compatible with Windows XP Professional (SP3) 32-bit and Windows 7 Professional & Ultimate 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems.
The DirectShow programming interface is a media-streaming architecture that allows supported devices to stream video and capture images. DirectShow is often used by video and imaging device manufacturers to facilitate the operation of their equipment. Media Cybernetics DirectShow capture allows Image-Pro to control these devices.
