2024: A Year of Innovation and Collaboration

As 2024 comes to a close, I want to take a moment to celebrate the progress we’ve made and share our excitement for what lies ahead. This year has been marked by innovation, collaboration, and growth. None of it would have been possible without the support of our community of users, collaborators, and partners.

At Media Cybernetics, we remain focused on our mission: to advance innovation in partnership with the scientific community. Since returning to a private business, we’ve accelerated our investment in the development of Image-Pro, cultivating lasting partnerships, and strengthening our infrastructure, all to ensure we continue delivering reliable, repeatable results.

Image-Pro Advancements

Rigor and reproducibility have always been at the core of our work, ensuring our tools deliver reliable, repeatable results. In 2024, we released 3 versions, introducing 23 new features and implementing 167 improvements and fixes.

This year’s most significant advancement is the launch of Image-Pro AI, which integrates next-generation deep learning technology. This release marks a major leap forward, delivering unprecedented accuracy, efficiency, and power—making it the most capable and impactful version of Image-Pro yet.

Powered by the Image-Pro Neural Engine, Image-Pro AI features a growing library of pre-trained models. Not only does it include deep learning architectures like CellPose, StarDist, and a custom UNET, but also offers the flexibility to fine-tune models for maximum precision. Coupled with an expanding suite of Analysis Protocols, Image-Pro enables accurate and efficient analysis of everything from complex cellular structures to inorganic particles.

Community Engagement and Collaboration

In line with our commitment to supporting the scientific community, we launched several initiatives to keep you informed and connected. For example, the Image-Pro Early Access Program offers direct access to upcoming software, exclusive offers, and collaboration opportunities with our development team. We also introduced Success Plans — customizable packages that combine live support, enhanced services, and product maintenance. Additionally our communication efforts grew with CEO updates, monthly newsletters, and informative webinars. Together, these initiatives helped us achieve an exciting milestone: surpassing 25,000 subscribers in our YouTube community, reflecting increased engagement and enthusiasm.
