Redesigned for focus
If you know Image-Pro, you'll feel the difference immediately. Every tool is reorganized into four clear tabbed workspaces — Image, Process, Measure, and Report — so what you need is where you expect it, not buried three menus deep. A more capable Layout Manager saves your personalized workspaces, new anchored panels stop important panels from closing by accident, and a redesigned start screen puts recent images, protocols, and AI models one click away, along with drag-and-drop image loading.
LAYERS MANAGER
Relational clarity at every layer
As images become more complex, keeping track of annotations, measurements, ROIs, classifications, and overlays per images becomes a challenge of its own. The new Layers Panel brings everything together in one organized workspace. Show or hide anything, regroup related objects, recolor and relabel, and reach counts and filtering without breaking your flow. When every layer is organized in one place, complex data is easier to explore and relationships easier to communicate with confidence.

Clarity powered by AI
Recover detail your microscope missed (ALT)
Image quality can directly impact analysis quality, and you know this from every noisy, low-signal acquisition you've thrown out. AI Enhance applies pre-trained deep-learning models that restore lost detail, cut noise, and correct artifacts across modalities, no GPU expertise required. Need something specific? Train a custom model on your own paired images. Cleaner inputs mean better segmentation, more accurate measurements, and results you can stand behind.

If you've ever found yourself bouncing between tabs just to measure, annotate, edit, and select objects, the Action Bar was built for you. The Action Bar gathers the tools you reach for constantly — selection, navigation, manual measurement, annotation, and object editing — into one place. A new universal cursor works across every overlay type, so you stop switching tools based on the overlay type, and consolidated editing makes copying, deleting, merging, and refining objects fast. Dock it or float it; it adapts to how you work, not the other way around.
AI HOVER
Instant segmentation, zero training
Hover over an object, click, and it's selected. No training data, no setup, no manual tracing. AI Hover recognizes the boundaries of whatever sits under your cursor and previews them in real time, so you see exactly what you'll get before you commit. Move across the image and watch objects light up one after another, each outline snapping cleanly into place as if the software already knew what you were looking for. It feels less like running a tool and more like pointing at what you want. Intelligent controls for scale, overlap, and exclusion keep it accurate even on dense, crowded fields, so you spend your time on the analysis instead of the tracing.

Finding objects is easy. Understanding how they relate to one another is where the real work begins. Analysis Routines turn those objects into measurable relationships. Guided tools for spatial analysis, classification, density mapping, phenotyping, and compartmentalization surface the patterns that raw counts miss. Previously, this kind of relational analysis was only possible by writing a macro. Now it's built in, putting advanced analysis within reach of everyone in your lab, not just the resident expert.

Confident tracking, even on difficult objects

Tracking is only as good as the objects you can identify in each frame. That's where the AI works. Deep-learning models outline objects that threshold-based segmentation would never catch: complex and irregular shapes, dim or low-contrast signal, and objects you can barely make out by eye. Use the built-in pre-trained models or custom models to pin down these difficult objects frame after frame, then follow their movement, direction, velocity, and interactions over time with the same proven tracking you already rely on.
