Cell Morphology
Cellular morphology is highly plastic and dynamic, it is an important and informative trait in a variety of biological contexts, especially the study of disease (Tegtmeyer 2024).
Such studies are made easy with the Image-Pro Cell Morphology protocol which measures a large array of morphological measurements at both the individual cellular level and as means for whole populations.
The protocol can be combined with pre-trained deep learning models which make accurate measurement of individual cellular morphology and often demonstrate superior performance compared to traditional machine learning methods (Molho et al. 2024). The protocol allows analysis of large volumes of data in complex formats such as multi-well plates with little to no image analysis experience.
